SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Senior Accountant Privately held professional services company in Scottsdale is adding a Senior Accountant to their small corporate accounting team. As a Senior Accountant, you will support the controller and be responsible for hands on day to day accounting functions such as journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, month end and period end closing, audit preparation, etc. Where this role is different is that you will be heavily involved with budgeting and forecasting, ad-hoc sales/operations/financial reporting and analysis. You will be charged with assisting with special projects such as automating manual reporting done in Excel, creating new reports and much more. In addition, there will be projects pertaining to process improvements and many more in the future. It is anticipated that this role will change and grow in responsibility over time. A qualified candidate will possess the following: Bachelors degree in accounting is required CPA or CPA in progress is preferred 5+ years of relevant and recent corporate accounting experience performing the functions listed above is required Prior experience in public accounting audit is a plus Strong systems skills including advanced Excel and a knack for technology to automate and report building is required A desire to learn reporting and analysis and work with the business, not just accounting, is required Compensation: $85-$95k base salary range + bonus Our client is only considering local candidates at this time.
