We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career Consulting team at Mercer. This role will be based in Dallas TX. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Rewards Senior Associate is part of Mercers Career practice a team that designs and implements broad-based and executive rewards programs to help clients attract and retain this role you apply analytical and design skills to benchmark pay shape incentive structures aligned to business strategy monitor regulatory and market trends and develop client-facing deliverables. You will manage client projects and presentations and provide formal and informal coaching technical review and development for Analysts and Associates on the project team.

We will count on you to:

• Prepare project charts and templates using project management tools estimate hours for the project team and prepare timelines for project milestones

• Serve as an independent project manager for entire projects and/or work streams

• Develop compensation strategies philosophies and programs that address clients attraction and retention need

• Ensure client projects adhere to budget and immediately address out-of-scope issues or budget overruns and manage the clients expectations

• Prioritize project activities to manage the workload and meet project deadlines

• Delegate and leadproject tasks in line with individual capability development needs and available analyst and associate resources

• Partner with our Principals and Partners to help manage proposal process

• Lead both internal and client project finding status and check-in meetings

• Serve as a primary client contact and build relationships with clients

What you need to have:

• Bachelors degree

• At least5 years experience in broad-based rewards/compensation

• External consulting experience required (experience consulting with external clients on behalf of a professional services firm)

• Knowledge of compensation principles e.g. job benchmarking salary structure design job architecture

• Strong quantitative background and skill set

• Deep analysis and reporting experience -- skilled in data manipulation and analysis using spreadsheet software as well as developing written reports which summarize analysis and provide interpretation in the context of the challenge faced by the client

• Proven project management skills and creative problem-solving abilities

What makes you stand out

• Executive compensation experience nice to have but not required

• Job Architecture experience particularly with a focus on skills-enabled architectures

• The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously on a variable schedule based on project demand and link compensation challenges to broader business or industry context

• Knowledge of executive compensation

• An active listener --giving full attention to what other people are saying taking time to understand the points being made and asking questions as appropriate
