Position Overview We are seeking a mission‑driven Grant Development and Fundraising Specialist to lead CCLF's funding pipeline and donor development strategy. This is a cross‑functional, full‑time, on‑site role with significant growth potential as the Foundation scales its impact nationally. Assist all B2C’s, B2E’s, B2Ps and B2Bs. Uphold 4‑hour guaranteed response time. Support our #changinglives mindset by adapting to our CLVE Philosophy via Telephone, Email, Virtual & Face‑to‑Face interactions to ensure targets are met. Complete daily compliance checklists during planning times. Promote and participate in company corporate culture philosophy – Teamwork, Team Participation, Corporate Events, Lead By Example Approach, High Performing and adherence to our Employee Code of Conduct – Attitude, Assertiveness, Accountability (Triple AAA) & Provent Productivity Method – CLVE, Compliance, Deadlines (CCD). Increase client/employee retention. Foster and follow daily process & policies. Identify and track federal, provincial (OTF, ESDC), municipal, and private foundation opportunities aligned with CCLF's four program pillars. Maintain the grant/loan tracking workbook and flag upcoming windows to leadership no less than 8 weeks in advance. Assess CCLF eligibility and co‑application viability with strategic partners. Write and submit compelling, evidence‑based grant/loan proposals tailored to each funder’s requirements. Manage co‑application submissions, supporting documents, letters of support, and compliance materials end‑to‑end. Track all submission statuses and maintain records of applications, outcomes, and funder correspondence. Assist with cross‑functional divisional loan & grant applications as needed. Develop and execute multi‑channel fundraising strategies targeting individual donors, corporations, and community foundations. Plan and support donor engagement events, sponsorship campaigns, and outreach aligned with CCLF's mission. Manage the CCLF donor database and explore digital fundraising tools. Lead and manage the full community and philanthropic engagement process, including incoming sponsorship inquiries, fund tracking and budget oversight, donor relations, and stakeholder outreach across all CCLF program areas. Lead and manage CCLF fundraising events from concept through execution, including venue coordination, volunteer management, and on‑site leadership presence. Lead and manage incoming sponsorship opportunities end‑to‑end, including initial inquiry, proposal development, fund receipt, budget management, and sponsor recognition and reporting. Nurture and retain sponsor relationships through consistent engagement, impact reporting, and stewardship activities aligned with CCLF’s mission and values. Collaborate with the CCLF events team to align sponsorship deliverables, budgets, and logistics with each fundraising event or community activation. Prepare and submit interim and final grant/loan reports in compliance with all funder requirements and CRA guidelines. Maintain a master compliance calendar covering reporting deadlines, audit submissions, and re‑application windows. Serve as CCLF's primary contact with government program officers, foundation representatives, and major donors. Support leadership with briefing notes, board presentations, and materials for funder meetings. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in grant/loan writing, fundraising, or a directly related nonprofit role. Proven track record of securing grants/loans from government, foundations, or private sector sources. Strong knowledge of the Canadian charitable funding landscape: ESDC, OTF, municipal programs, and private foundations. Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to produce persuasive proposals and funder reports. Ability to manage multiple applications and projects simultaneously under competing deadlines. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Excel PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with donor management or CRM platforms is a strong asset. Goal‑driven focus: desire to hit targets and complete tasks/assignments/projects that outweigh temporary hesitation or fear of social awkwardness. Proactive, go‑getter attitude with a positive, can‑do spirit. Highly adaptable schedule and open availability to support division during increased volume periods. Assertive communication: initiation of conversations effortlessly & clear articulation of value propositions without sounding aggressive or pushy. Resilient to rejection; view objections as learning opportunities. High empathy; perceptive and able to read body language, actively listen, and adapt pitch. Curious and enjoys deep, probing questions to uncover pain points. Unwavering confidence; projects authority and belief in service to build trust. Advanced typing (≥ 50 words per minute) and proficiency in MS Office, Google Chrome and related tools. Must own a vehicle with full access. Reside in or near Vaughan (Preferred). Assets CFRE (Certified Fund‑Raising Executive) designation or active pursuit. Experience with co‑applicant grant/loan structures and multi‑organizational partnerships. Familiarity with Google for Nonprofits and the Google Ad Grant program. Experience supporting newly registered charities through early‑stage growth. Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset for federally bilingual program applications.
