Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 16 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 9 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the specialty License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Inpatient PACU experience - Arterial line management - Dysrhythmia recognition and management - Blood product administration - Central line care and management - IV vasopressors - Narcotics and opioid analgesics - Reversal agents - External ventricular drain management - ICP monitoring - Care of ventilated patients - Conscious sedation - Post-epidural management - Knowledge of various anesthesia types - Pain assessment and management - PCA pump management - Familiarity with Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale - Competence in caring for diverse patient populations Description: The role involves caring for patients recovering from anesthesia. Nurses will monitor patients’ vital signs and manage medications. The position requires availability for weekend and on-call shifts. Floating to other areas as needed is expected. Holiday work may be required according to the schedule. Applicants must have prior clinical experience in a similar environment. Compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. Candidates must possess strong critical thinking and communication skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment is essential. Endurance for long shifts and the ability to manage heavy workloads is important. The role demands a commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
