Overview Primary City/State: Network Operations CenterCategory: Skilled NursingShift: NightDepartment: Network Float Pool PRN, NightsFloat Pool – Floats to 3+ Hospitals. Open/Flexible Scheduling. Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU required. Responsibilities Guide practice by the ANA Standard for Professional Nurse and Code of Ethics. Record medical history, help perform diagnostic tests, analyze results, operate medical equipment, administer treatment and medications, and support patient follow‑up and rehabilitation. Establish or contribute to care plans, including medication administration with careful dosage checks, IV line management, therapies, and observation documentation. Consult with physicians and other health‑care clinicians. Teach patients and families about illness management, post‑treatment care, diet, exercise, and self‑medication. Provide direction to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides, delegating tasks appropriately. Support efforts to advance clinical knowledge, skills, and patient experiences. Precept new hire staff and students, helping them complete competency tasks. Use evidence‑based nursing practices within a Shared Governance model. All RN staff who directly care for stroke patients must possess knowledge of: Stroke symptoms and warning signs Protocols and pathways for identification, evaluation, and management of stroke patients

Stroke Alert activation and protocol Stroke quality indicators Available stroke patient education materials and community resources Educational requirements Stroke Center website resources Collect health data systematically, prioritize based on patient condition, involve family. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and develop, implement, evaluate, and revise family‑centered, evidence‑based care plans. Initiate treatments, medications, emergency and resuscitative measures per standing orders. Deliver nursing care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, and social‑cultural needs. Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes, document observations, interventions, and relevant data. Continuously evaluate quality and effectiveness of care plans to maintain and enhance patient outcomes. Maintain current knowledge in nursing practice, integrate ethical principles, and cultivate cultural diversity awareness. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, peers, and other health‑care providers for professional development and quality practice. Identify evidence‑based changes to nursing practice and facilitate adoption. Utilize systematic evaluative research to improve patient care, education, and management. Consider safety, effectiveness, and cost when delivering patient care. Education & Licensure Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing (required). Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred; all Diploma and ADN hires must complete a BSN within 60 months of hire OR have 10 years of RN experience. Graduate from an accredited NLN/CCNE institution (required). BSN completion prior to start or graduate entry (required for stroke patients). Experience & Certifications Minimum 10 months in med‑surg or acute specialty setting. 1 year RN experience for all float positions. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Registered Nurse (RN) State and/or Compact State Licensure in Arizona. Unit‑specific national certification required upon hire. Additional unit‑specific certifications as required by specialty area.
