Technical Writer II

Key Responsibilities Works independently on assigned documentation and communicates statuses and obstacles. Interviews subject matter experts and observes the task or process to determine procedure and detail. Studies submitted materials including BOMs, drawings, pictures and more to inform documentation. Organizes material and completes writing assignments according to internal standards. Proofreads documentation for others and recommends improvements. Reviews published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, or content. Mentors less experienced team members as appropriate. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Minimum Requirements Education: Associate’s degree or higher in technical writing or technical communication preferred. Experience: Minimum 3 years of technical writing experience. Prefer experience in engineering, energy, or manufacturing. Tools: CCMS or authoring tools experience, Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet. Travel: 5-10% Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday–Friday. Overtime may be required.
