About This Role
As a Sales Engineer, you'll be the technical expert supporting our sales team, helping finance leaders understand how Numeric solves their most complex accounting challenges. The product is moving fast, customers are getting more sophisticated, and the SE role is at the center of every major win. We're looking for a Senior SE who has operated at the highest level of technical selling, someone who can walk into a room with a CFO and own it, build the playbooks our team runs on, and help shape what world-class presales looks like at a company on the rise.
What You'll Do
- Lead complex enterprise demos, discovery sessions, and proof-of-concept engagements independently across mid-market and enterprise accounts
- Partner closely with Account Executives to develop technical win strategies and drive deals forward
- Build deep credibility with senior finance stakeholders including CFOs, Controllers, and VPs of Finance as a trusted domain expert
- Mentor and coach other SEs on accounting domain knowledge and the craft of technical selling
- Gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform product roadmap priorities. Partner closely with PMM and product to shape the future of the platform
- Develop and maintain reusable demo environments, technical collateral, and enablement materials for the broader team
About You
- 6+ years of total experience with 3+ years as a customer-facing SE at an ERP or FP&A platform (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, or Pigment)
- Deep accounting and finance domain expertise with the ability to credibly converse with CFOs and Controllers from day one
- Proven track record independently running complex enterprise demos, POCs, and discovery
- Based in SF

- Former accountant, auditor, or finance professional who crossed over into sales you speak the buyer's language because it was once your language too
- Has sold into a category-defining platform moment where the product was still evolving and you helped shape how it was sold, not just sold what was handed to you
- Experience co-selling with SE teams on technical or AI-heavy demos
- You've opened a segment the company had never entered, closed a deal no one thought was winnable, or defined the ICP before anyone else had tried
This role is in person in San Francisco (in office by default but with flexibility to manage your schedule as you see fit). We strongly believe we will only be successful if everyone on the team is anchored in our following set of core principles:
