Vice President of Finance & Accounting (Healthcare)

Vice President of Finance & Accounting (Healthcare) Location: Atlanta, GA, US Salary: $180,000 - $215,000 per year Responsibilities Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure. Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors. Prepare short‑ and long‑term financial forecasts for use with internal management and external parties. Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinating activities with outside audit firms and reviewing firm performance. Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide‑ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies), and other corporate policies. Ensure proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance. Manage corporate and healthcare finance, cash flow, and financial risk. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop financial strategies across all units. Design, implement, and monitor departmental budgets. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported. Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation. Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior‑level Finance or Accounting position. Proven experience in a leadership role in the Healthcare or Non‑profit sectors. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Professional accreditation such as CPA or CMA (plus). Extensive understanding of financial trends within the company and general market patterns. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet programs. Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, and strong organization skills. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
