About the Role: The Senior Director of Corporate FP&A will be a key leader within Gen's Corporate FP&A team, responsible for driving the company's financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis processes at the enterprise level. This role sits at the centre of Gen's financial decision‑making — owning the corporate models, budgets and KPIs that inform the CEO, CFO and Board of Directors. You will partner across Finance, Business Units and the Executive Leadership Team to deliver insight that shapes strategy, resource allocation and performance management. As Gen accelerates its AI‑first ambition across the business, this role will also champion the use of AI, automation and advanced analytics within Corporate FP&A to improve forecast accuracy, accelerate reporting cycles and free capacity for higher‑value strategic work. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting Lead all corporate budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning processes, ensuring alignment between top‑down targets and bottom‑up business unit plans. Maintain and continuously improve corporate financial models, including revenue, cost, cash flow and scenario analyses. Drive a rolling forecast cadence that provides leadership with a real‑time view of risks, opportunities and emerging trends. Leverage AI‑powered forecasting tools and predictive analytics to enhance accuracy and reduce manual effort in the planning cycle. 2. Executive & Board Reporting Provide financial support to the CEO and CFO, including preparation for quarterly earnings, Board presentations and investor materials. Prepare executive‑ready crib packages and financial presentations that translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for key stakeholders. Ensure accurate and timely internal and external reporting, maintaining a single source of truth for corporate financial performance. Develop and maintain standard dashboards and self‑service reporting views, using BI and AI tools to provide real‑time visibility for leadership. 3. Performance Management & Insight Define and track key corporate metrics and benchmarks to measure overall business performance against strategic objectives. Drive monthly and quarterly business reviews with clear variance analysis, insight into underlying drivers and prioritised actions. Partner with business unit finance teams to ensure consistency and transparency in how performance is measured and reported across Gen. Use advanced analytics and AI to surface trends, anomalies and forward‑looking insights that inform executive decision‑making. 4. Strategic Analysis & Decision Support Provide creative and ad‑hoc financial modelling that enables effective, data‑backed decision‑making on investments, capital allocation and strategic initiatives. Support M&A evaluation, integration planning and synergy tracking from a corporate finance perspective. Partner with Corporate Development, Treasury, Accounting, Tax and business finance teams to resolve complex financial questions and ensure continuity across planning processes. 5. Process Excellence, Automation & AI Develop and scale FP&A processes and procedures to support Gen's growth and increasing complexity. Identify and implement opportunities to automate routine reporting, data gathering and consolidation tasks through AI, RPA and workflow tools. Champion an AI‑first mindset within Corporate FP&A — piloting new technologies (e.g., AI‑assisted variance analysis, natural language reporting, predictive modelling) and sharing learnings across Finance. Partner with Finance Systems and Data teams on tool selection, implementation and adoption of planning and analytics platforms (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive, Power BI, Tableau). 6. Leadership & Ways of Working Foster a culture that combines rigorous analysis with business partnership and healthy challenge — encouraging the team to ask tough questions, propose alternatives and bring independent insight. Champion the use of data, automation and AI within Finance to create capacity for higher‑value work and improve the speed and quality of insight. About you: Experience Typically 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance or financial planning, including roles supporting executive leadership and/or Board reporting. Experience in a publicly traded company, with strong knowledge of earnings processes, SEC reporting cadences and investor communications. Demonstrated track record of building and improving corporate planning processes, financial models and reporting frameworks in a complex, matrixed environment. Prior experience evaluating or implementing AI and automation tools within a finance function is strongly preferred. Technical & Analytical Skills Deep understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, including driver‑based and scenario modelling. Ability to gather, manipulate and manage large datasets from multiple sources, understand complex data relationships and draw conclusions that recommend the best course of action. Advanced skills in Excel/Sheets and financial modelling; experience with planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) is a plus. Familiarity with AI and automation technologies applicable to finance (e.g., predictive analytics, NLP‑based reporting, RPA) and an eagerness to apply them. Location: Mountain View, CA or NYC Office (Onsite 3 days per week) The annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $220,000 and $250,000. Base salary is one component of Gen's total compensation package, which includes 401(k) match, health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off.
