Ediscovery Specialist

The California Civil Rights Department is looking to hire an eDiscovery Specialist! This is a fantastic opportunity to serve your fellow Californians and help protect civil rights by doing unique and advanced technological work. Our eDiscovery staff are critically valuable members of our civil rights mission, providing case support with eDiscovery using RelativityOne and other powerful software. They work alongside passionate and dedicated attorneys, investigators, paralegals, and secretaries, providing complex technical ESI support in State and Federal civil litigations as well as government investigations.

The eDiscovery Specialist will work under the supervision of the Legal Division Manager and in collaboration with our case teams, providing day to day support such as setting up review workspaces, running searches, and producing documents. They will also help develop project strategies to address the team's complex eDiscovery needs. The Specialist will continuously learn in the rapidly developing field of eDiscovery and help expand CRD's capabilities. Ideal candidates will have eDiscovery experience and be comfortable troubleshooting technical problems. They will also have eDiscovery administration experience, attention to fine details, familiarity with legal concepts and law office practices, and the ability to meet deadlines. CRD handles high profile and sensitive matters, so the Specialist must exercise discretion in handling work product and evidence.

This position provides one telework day per week and requires onsite work four days per week.
