Interventional Radiology Technologist Location: Not specified Job Summary: The Interventional Technologist I assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose, monitor, and treat simple to complex conditions, defects, and/or diseases without surgery. This position is designed for individuals gaining experience in Interventional Radiology or Invasive Cardiology or experienced imaging professionals seeking to begin a career in this discipline. Required Qualifications: Knowledge and skill in applying principles of medical imaging, patient positioning, and medical ethics. Understanding of anatomy and physiology associated with specialty imaging procedures. Ability to apply theory, practices, and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data or procedure documentation. Consistent application of sterile field knowledge to ensure patient safety. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to provide care appropriate to the age and patient populations served. Knowledge of and ability to apply HIPAA guidelines and standards. Ability to prioritize and complete clinical or non-clinical work assignments. Capability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Consistency and dependability in reporting to work as scheduled. Sensitivity to patients’ physical and psychological needs. Required Education: Graduate of a post-secondary educational program in health science (e.g., cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, or paramedic/EMT) as defined by ARRT or CCI. Completion of JRCERT-accredited Military Educational Program is accepted in lieu of other educational requirements.
