Mettler Toledo continues to grow its manufacturing operations and is looking for a dependable CNC Machinist I to support production of precision components used in the company's industry-leading measurement and analytical products.
This role is ideal for someone early in their machining career who enjoys a hands-on manufacturing environment and wants to continue developing their machining skills while working for a stable global manufacturer.
The Work You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate manual mills, manual lathes, and plastic machining equipment
- Receive, verify, and stage incoming raw materials
- Safely load and unload material manually and with a forklift
- Deburr machined parts and verify quality requirements
- Read blueprints and engineered drawings to manufacture precision components
- Follow daily production schedules and prioritize work accordingly
- Confirm completed production in SAP and stage finished parts
- Perform cycle counting and inventory transactions
- Complete Quality at the Source inspections
- Record labor and production information accurately
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies

What We're Looking ForRequired
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of machining or manufacturing experience
- Ability to read blueprints and engineered drawings
- Basic machine setup experience
- Experience using manual mills and lathes
- Ability to safely load and unload machines
- Basic SAP knowledge
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Ability to work with both imperial and metric measurements
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to quality and workplace safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred
- Forklift experience
- Plastic machining experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing production environment
- Previous experience with Hardinge, GMC, or Bridgeport equipment
