General ManagerThe General Manager must have a background in health/wellness with an eagerness for sales. Stretch Zone is the pioneer in practitioner assisted stretching. Our locations span across the country and we continue to grow everyday. We are seeking out individuals versed in sales with a management background. If selected the applicant must be able to complete two weeks of training where they will learn our modalities as well as how to manage a location.Objectives of this Role: The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the successful operations and financial accountability of all areas of the studio. The GM orchestrates delivery of superior customer service, achievement of employees, customer satisfaction and performance relative to studio objectives. The GM executes the implementation strategy and ongoing management of companywide standards for key operational activities, programs and goals throughout the studio. The GM communicates with the regional manager and corporate managers regularly or when deemed necessary. The GM provides leadership, direction and support to all direct reports. GM is directly responsible for managing all employees of the store.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion, while accomplishing your own goalsEnforce all Stretch Zone corporate policies, business practices, systems and processesContribute to and maintain the Culture of Stretch Zone*Encourage and motivate clients throughout their stretch sessionsExhibit leadership by engaging in all studio activities (lead by example)Drive new and existing client membership sales through outside sales, lead generation, business development efforts and client retention effortsProvide and maintain the highest level of customer serviceProvide effective decision making regarding customer service issuesPlan and promote special events for the studio on a monthly basis, using Stretch Zone tools for effective outreach and community involvement. In addition, marketing outside and at community events is a mustResponsible for ensuring that the studio is clean, maintained and operationally soundResolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of those involvedManage the staff scheduleOther duties as assignedSkills and Qualifications:Strong communication, sales and customer service skills requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills in person, via the telephone and emailPreferred background: Exercise, Health or Recreational Science Degree, Personal Trainer or Sports Coach, Physical Therapist, PT Aide, Chiropractor, Pilates, Yoga Instructor, or Dance InstructorHave at least 2+ years of fitness, health or wellness sales experienceA strong and demonstrated affinity for and/or experience in the Health, Wellness & Fitness industry are preferredAbility to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workdayProfessional, punctual, reliable and neatStrong attention to detail and accuracyTrustworthy and ability to handle confidential informationAbility to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgmentAbility to multi-task and manage client and staff concernsAbility to work well independently and collaboratively with Studio OwnerProficient computer skills requiredAbility to work and function in a TEAM environmentFlexible to work day, evening and/or weekend hours as neededAbout Stretch Zone:Stretch Zone is the world's leading source and educator for today's advanced practitioner-assisted stretching.
