Our client, a leader in the lumber and manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Associate to join their team. As a Quality Control Associate, you will be an essential part of the quality assurance department supporting the production and shipping processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Quality Control

Location: Athens, AL

Pay Range: $16.00/hour

Shift: Monday Friday, 6:00 AM until finish (1012 hour shifts)

What's the Job?

• Inspect incoming and outgoing lumber products for quality, grade, size, and overall condition
• Identify defects such as warping, cracks, rot, or improper cuts
• Ensure products meet company standards and customer specifications
• Sort and segregate materials based on grade and quality
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality control records

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in lumber, warehouse, manufacturing, or quality control is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
• Basic math and measurement skills (ability to read a tape measure required)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment in varying weather conditions
