It is a management tool for assigning work.)STATEMENT OF JOBThe Program Director (PD) provides leadership and management to all aspects of the day program for adults with intellectual disabilities and/or dual diagnosis. The Program Director ensures that customer needs and quality services are attended to based on the organizations purpose and values. The PD ensures that the program is in compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations and guidelines. They are a member of the Corporate Management Team and Program Director forum and collaborates with other directors and administrative managers to set strategic priorities and to plan for their implementation. The PD works with program staff to provide the best customer service at the highest quality possible. They set program goals and targets to enhance customer satisfaction, improve quality, and maintain a healthful safe environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Program Director is responsible for organizing and supervising the operation of the assigned service program. The PD oversees the areas of budgeting, program design and implementation, project planning, staff development and training, evaluation and direction of program services. She/he organizes and monitors the intake and continuing assessment process.The Program Director performs the following duties:LeadershipSet program goals and targets based on the company Mission, Vision and Purpose.Promote actions based on the organizational values.Promote programmatic commitment, alignment, and teamwork.Participate as a team member of the Corporate Management Team and Program Director Forum.Provide employees clear information of job duties, job performance, and job standards.Implement all company initiatives.Provide efficient communication practices.Communicate questions to the appropriate individual.Send referrals to the BCBA through the approved channels.Maintain relationships and correspondence with Community Care Licensing.Maintain relationships with assigned Regional Center liaison.Establish relationships with the schools and network for services.Advise employees of corporate activities and policies.Oversee program services through direct regular observation, contact and interactions.Provide direct service to participants on an intermittent and/or temporary basis.Involve in program preparation functions which ensure employee preparedness and quality services for participants.Rapid On-Call RotationQuality Services & Customer SatisfactionMeet and exceed customer needs.Promote and utilize a continuous improvement process for all aspects of program operations and services.Ensure general conduct and program quality standards are met.Ensure that programs for the care, treatment, training, and safety of clients are fully implemented and maintained including, but not limited to, assisting with feeding, toileting, and crisis intervention.SupervisionEnsure a clean, organized and safe working environment for personnel.Supervise assigned staff by directing and assigning duties; assuring adequate personnel coverage; and selecting, training, supervising, monitoring and evaluating the performance of employees consistent with personnel policies and procedures.Evaluate the quality and efficiency of the Training Program; institute changes as may be required to insure that the highest possible operating standards are maintained.Develop and present program's annual plan and budgetary requirements to the Administrative Director.Ensure the client admission process is followed in accordance with policies and procedures and State guidelines; maintain client attendance levels and approve all admission proceedings.Participate in program personnel decisions in accordance with policies and procedures.Perform related duties as assigned.Dependability and Work HabitsThe Program Director demonstrates behaviors and decisions that reinforce CVTC’s Mission, Vision, Purpose and Policy and Procedures. She/he is punctual to work, meetings and other appointments and provides advanced notice of absence or changes in work schedule.The Program Director effectively plans and manages tasks and job duties. She/he monitors participant admissions process; anticipate changing demands; adjust program and staffing operations accordingly; assist in program preparation functions; take on new responsibilities to assist coworkers, participants and, external professionals and assumes these responsibilities with an understanding of the time and effort required to meet obligations.The Program Director can make effective judgment. She/he gathers and evaluates pertinent information to determine action(s) needed to resolve service contract obligations, personnel, operational and participant situations; take action(s) that comply with Company’s policy and state and federal law; maintain a safe work environment.The Program Director interacts well with participants. She/he promotes participant choice and decision making; work with participants to review and/or develop IPP and ISP objectives to meet their needs; support participants with respect and dignity in all situations; support participants by listening, informing, and advising. Provides direct service on a temporary and/or intermittent basis. Communicate with and involve Interdisciplinary Team members in problem solving and staff accordingly to ensure for the health and safety of participants in daily activities.Strategic Planning and Financial ControlThe Program Director develops, implements and monitors approved program budget. She/he meets with other team members to identify and gather information for fiscal planning and budget development; assess previous spending patterns, impending laws, regulations, future expenditures and external service opportunities; develop and present program budget; implement approved program budget; monitor and approve spending that is consistent with budget allocations and revise approved program budget to accommodate changes in revenue or unanticipated program needs.#HPCVTCDESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIESLanguage Skills:Clear and timely communication with others.Follow written and verbal directions.Present information effectively, accurately and thoroughly in a style others can understand and act upon.Listen to others’ information, asks questions that clarify the intended message, and respond to questions from manager, participants, and outside organizations.Writing Skills:Written work is thorough and accurate.Written materials are provided in a timely manner and in a style others can use.Mathematical Skills:Calculation of figures and amounts including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.Ability to apply basic math concepts.Computer Skills:Experience using network-based system including knowledge of file structure.Excel – Ability to develop and copy formulas, and format worksheets.Word – Ability to keyboard, prepare letters and simple documents including formatting, table development and spell check.Training:CPR and First Aid Certification.Non Violent Crisis Intervention Training.Social Effectiveness Training.Positive Behavior Support Training.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEA baccalaureate degree in psychology, social work or a related human services field and a minimum of one year experience in the management of a human services delivery system, or three years of experience in a human services delivery system including at least one year in a management or supervisory position and two years of experience or training in one of the following: A) Care and supervision of clients in a licensed adult day program, or an adult day health care facility. B) Care and Supervision of one or more of the categories of persons to be served by the day program. b) Administrators of adult day programs employed prior to January 1, 2007, shall remain qualified provided that they have no break in employment as an adult day program administrator exceeding three consecutive years.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
