Lending activity recorded in the U.S. Bank subsidiaries from the Institutional Securities business segment primarily includes secured lending facilities and commercial real estate loans. Lending activity recorded in the U.S. Bank Subsidiaries from the Wealth Management business segment primarily includes Securities-based lending, which allows clients to borrow money against the value of qualifying securities, and Residential real estate loans. U.S. Banks are regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).Department Description:Within U.S. Banks, the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function is responsible for producing the Annual Strategic Plan and periodical forecasts, leading Balance Sheet and Income Statement efforts for the Banks' Annual and Quarterly Stress Test (AST/QST) submissions to the OCC and providing US Banks' management teams with key financial and strategic analysis to support the Banks' global businesses. The role provides a unique perspective on the whole array of Finance and FP&A activities specific to a legal entity.Key Responsibilities:Support the preparation and analysis of financial forecasts, budgets and long-term plans for the U.S. Banks (Balance Sheet, P&L, RWA, capital ratios, capital allocation, etc.), ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate objectivesSupport the end-to-end Balance Sheet and PPNR processes for CCAR/Annual/Quarterly Stress Test and Resolution Planning submissions, including financial modeling and analysis, risk identification, documentation, and governance effortsUtilize multiple data sources to create management reporting including Balance and Revenue analysis, Expense analysis, and Key Risk IndicatorsDevelop key analytics to enhance decision making and assist with the preparation of materials for the U.S. Banks' CFO, Senior Management, Board of Directors, and RegulatorsContribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, data integrity and analytical capabilitiesCollaborate with Business Units, Corporate and Segment FP&A, Controllers, Treasury, Capital, Risk Management and others in support of the U.S. Banks' deliverablesQualifications:Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, or related finance roles within financial services industryBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related fieldStrong aptitude for numbers and quick grasp of new reporting applicationsAbility to handle multiple projects, competing priorities and deadlines with high degree of flexibility all while working independentlyStrong understanding of CCAR, DFAST14A, capital planning framework and forecasting methodologiesStrong analytical, problem solving and project management skills with high attention to detailEffective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across functionsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and Power PointKnowledge of TM1 application a plusWhat you can expect from Morgan Stanley:We have a track record of innovation and passion for unlocking new opportunities, we help our clients raise, manage and allocate capital.
