Assistant Controller

We re looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join a growing, multi-division organization. This is a hands-on role for someone ready to take on significant ownership today, with a clear path to grow into the Controller role. Working closely with the CFO and finance leadership, you ll help drive the close process, financial reporting, accounting operations, controls, and process improvements while gaining broader responsibility across the organization. Key Responsibilities Assistant Controller We re looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join a growing, multi-division organization. Working closely with the CFO and finance leadership, you ll help drive the close process, financial reporting, accounting operations, controls, and process improvements while gaining broader responsibility across the organization. Key Responsibilities Lead key areas of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close Maintain GL integrity, reconciliations, and accurate financial reporting Oversee day-to-day accounting across AP, AR, payroll, cash, and general accounting Support multi-division and consolidated financial reporting Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and SOPs Support audits, tax compliance, budgeting, and forecasting Analyze job costs, WIP, margins, and profitability Improve ERP workflows, reporting, and accounting processes Partner with operations and leadership to improve financial visibility and decision-making Provide guidance and oversight to accounting team members What We re Looking For 8+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience as an Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accounting Manager, or similar accounting leadership role Strong GAAP, financial reporting, close, GL, reconciliation, and internal controls experience Experience overseeing AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting operations Multi-division, construction, project-based, job costing, or WIP experience preferred Strong ERP/accounting systems experience CPA preferred Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills This is a strong opportunity for someone who is ready for more ownership and responsibility now, with the opportunity to step into the Controller role as the organization continues to grow. #J-18808-Ljbffr AMSYS Innovative Solutions
