Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing various assessment tools and observational practices.
• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to specific short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions emphasizing language, voice, fluency, and swallow enhancement.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with a multidisciplinary team of occupational therapists, physical therapists, medical professionals, and supportive family members to ensure integrated care.
• Educate patients and their families, providing essential tools to reinforce progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, reinforcing a continuous care philosophy throughout the treatment process.
• Document clinical interactions and progress accurately, adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and sharing insights with colleagues to elevate our collective knowledge.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Must hold a state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
