Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners by supporting their growth and success in the classroom. Multiple openings are available for compassionate and reliable paraprofessionals in elementary and pre-school settings, each tailored to provide valuable one-on-one or group assistance. This contract opportunity extends through June 18, 2027, with immediate start dates and consistent schedules, making it ideal for dedicated professionals seeking stability and the chance to build strong connections with students.
There are six positions in total across elementary and pre-school locations, including roles as 1:1 aides, 2:1 aides, and classroom support for children with Learning and/or Language Disabilities (LLD) and those in PreSchool Disabled (PSD) programs. You’ll work approximately 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during school hours—no evenings or weekends required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or classroom aide, especially within elementary or pre-school environments
- Familiarity working with students with special needs or disabilities (LLD, PSD, inclusion settings)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, nurturing approach
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and classroom staff
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized or group assistance to students as assigned (1:1, 2:1, or classroom aide roles)
- Support instructional and behavioral goals outlined by the teaching team
- Promote a safe and engaging learning atmosphere
- Assist with classroom routines, transitions, and activities
- Foster positive, respectful relationships with students and staff
