Cost EstimatorUS Farathane is hiring for a Cost Estimator, this role will support our Corporate Tech Center located on-site in Auburn Hills Michigan. The Cost Estimator is responsible for processing new business quotations, engineering change quotations, cost returns directed by the Cost Development Manager.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare cost estimates and price quotations on new work and engineering changes by reviewing data, drawings, or documents to determine required process, tooling, materials, labor and capital.Prepare internal and external requests for supporting costs.Utilize cost estimating models to complete and present pricing and investment for approval to Senior Management.Process and present the approved pricing in the customer's format.Create and maintain record of quotations in electronic database and files.QualificationsAbility to read technical drawings and evaluate data using PC based viewing software to determine most efficient process and tool construction while considering production volumes and part specification requirements.Understanding of plastic injection molding process and assemblies, mold construction and related costs.Familiar with automotive OEM Forms and cost standardsProficient with Windows Software (Outlook, Excel, etc.).Excellent communication and organization skills, along with strong math backgroundFlexibility – ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet project deadlines.Team player within a progressive work environmentCompletion/Pursuit of a secondary degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related fieldCost calculation, manufacturing, or related experienceWorking knowledge of CAD viewing softwarePhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
