Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse - LVN

Location: Denton, TX 76210

Duration: 6-month contract (Possible extension)

Compensation:

  • Pay rate: $40/hr.

  • Weekend Rate: $43/hr.

Scheduling options:

  • 6 AM - 2 PM (3 openings)

  • 2 PM - 10 PM (5 openings)

Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team providing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at a state-operated facility in Denton, TX. We are seeking experienced Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) who are committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, treatments, and nursing interventions.

  • Monitor patients' physical and behavioral health and report significant changes to the supervising RN or provider.

  • Accurately document all patient care in the electronic health record (EHR).

  • Educate patients regarding medications and treatment plans.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans.

  • Promote a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered environment.

  • Follow all facility policies, infection prevention standards, and state regulatory requirements.

  • Complete all required facility and state-mandated training.

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.

  • Minimum of 2 years of LVN experience.

  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health, mental health, or medically complex patients is highly preferred.
