Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year A bit about us: A growing commercial general contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support commercial construction projects throughout the Southeast. This opportunity offers exposure to a strong mix of grocery retail, big box retail, light industrial, medical, office, and tenant improvement projects while working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and field teams from preconstruction through closeout. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their construction career looking to gain hands-on exposure across project management, field operations, scheduling, documentation, and overall commercial construction processes within a collaborative GC environment. Nearly 40 years in business with a strong reputation across the Southeast 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage Lucrative 401(k) match and strong long-term retirement benefits Bonus potential and long-term growth opportunities within an expanding commercial GC Company shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s for additional time off Job Details Responsibilities Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, shop drawings, and project documentation Maintain project management systems including Procore, Bluebeam, and related software Support communication between project teams, subcontractors, architects, and field staff Participate in project meetings and maintain logs/tracking documentation Review construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work Support procurement, scheduling coordination, and material tracking Assist with punch lists, closeout documentation, and quality control efforts Provide support to field operations and superintendents as needed Qualifications 1–3 years of commercial construction experience or related internship/co-op experience Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, ProjectSight, or similar software is a plus OSHA 10 preferred Interested in hearing more?
