Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health status and substance use challenges, ensuring accurate identification of co-occurring disorders. Collaborate with each client to design personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions tailored to their unique needs and goals. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on developing essential coping strategies, skills for relapse prevention, and techniques for emotional regulation. Engage regularly with a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care effectively with psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, which plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive treatment. Monitor clients' progress with routine substance use assessments and apply motivational interviewing techniques to inspire and support them throughout their recovery journey. Provide informative education to clients and their families regarding the intricate relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, enhancing their understanding of adherence to treatment protocols. Maintain accurate and timely documentation regarding treatment plans, progress notes, and referrals, adhering to established ethical and legal standards. Contribute actively to team case conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing professional training, enriching your skills in co-occurring disorder treatment methodologies. Patient Population / Client Focus Your expertise will serve a diverse group of clients, primarily composed of individuals dealing with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. You will have the opportunity to empower clients from different backgrounds as they navigate their recovery processes, leveraging the effectiveness of integrated treatment approaches. Your support will be instrumental in helping clients overcome stigma, develop resilience, and achieve sustainable recovery outcomes. Qualifications A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is essential. Demonstrated proficiency in delivering evidence-based therapies specifically designed for clients with co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). A solid understanding of the complexities involved in the interaction between mental health and substance use disorders. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment. Preferred Experience Experience in outpatient settings, preferably with a focus on integrated care models. Familiarity with digital health tools and teletherapy platforms utilized in modern therapeutic practices. Prior experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to cultural competence in therapeutic practices. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
