Full-Time Respiratory Therapist Position
Full-time Respiratory Therapist needed in Great Falls, MT to deliver specialized care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. The role involves administering treatments, performing diagnostics, and collaborating with the healthcare team to create and update care plans. The position offers a supportive, professional environment and a salary up to $77,000 per year with a $30,000 sign-on bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
- Monitor and record patient responses to treatment.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Maintain and operate ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
- Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response Team calls.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and update patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and therapies.
- Ensure all equipment is sanitized, functional, and complies with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care).
- Current Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Preferred Skills
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
