Associate Director, Trade and Distribution Strategy

Associate Director role focused on designing and executing U.S. channel distribution strategies for Biogen's nephrology portfolio. The position requires deep pharmaceutical distribution expertise and involves strategic planning across complex care settings, managing cross-functional partnerships, and ensuring compliant patient access.
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert on U.S. supply chain laws, channel models, and distribution partner capabilities
- Lead design and execution of distribution strategies for nephrology launches across diverse care settings
- Maintain deep understanding of hospital, specialty, and retail pharmacy channels and competitive approaches
- Support strategic recommendations with analytics on channel economics, reimbursement, and patient access
- Partner with Brand, Trade, Data, Market Access, and Operations teams to ensure strategy compliance and alignment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
- 7+ years commercial market access, trade, and/or distribution experience
- Expert knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution channels, specialty pharmacy, and complex therapy models
- Strong understanding of medical-benefit distribution and hospital infusion economics
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives in matrixed environments
- Deep knowledge of U.S. commercial, Medicare, Medicaid reimbursement landscape
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills; ability to travel up to 30%
Compensation: $171,000-$235,500 base
