Travel RN - TelemetryAmerican Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring CA licensure and 2+ years of specialty experience.DetailsTelemetry unit within a hospital settingNight shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)Patient ratio of 1:4May be required to float to like units or lower acuity units across 5 hospitals (excluding the ED)Required to work 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week cycleRequired to work at least one holiday, including the holiday weekendEpic EMR used for chartingRequirementsActive CA RN license in hand at time of consideration (Temp or Perm, no EMSA)Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required2+ years of concurrent experience in telemetry specialty requiredTravel experience required, including 6+ months of continuous travel experience leading up to considerationEpic or combined Epic/Cerner experience required within the last 6 monthsCommunity hospital experience requiredTrauma Level I and teaching hospital experience preferredExperience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teamsExperience with neurological conditions such as CVA, intracranial bleeds, seizure disorders, and TBIExperience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administrationExperience with IV therapy, central/PICC line care, and blood product administration1 supervisory-level professional reference requiredAdditional InformationProvide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency responseManage patients with neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, and renal conditionsAdminister medications including heparin protocols and insulin dripsPerform wound care and manage isolation precautions/PPECandidates must not reside within a 100-mile radius of the facility to be eligible, except for LVNs/LPNsCandidates on assignment in San Diego for 9+ months or longer are considered local and ineligibleMaximum of 7 days RTO allowed, with no additional requests after considerationFirst-time travelers are not eligible for this positionReturning staff and travelers may reapply after a 1-year waiting periodFloat requirements may include ICU, SDU, and Tele units at or below skillset, potentially across campuses
