Shift Information

Work Schedule: Day 3x12-Hour shifts from 07:00 - 19:30

Available Start Dates: 11/02, 11/16, 11/30, or 12/14

Job Description

This role may require floating across multiple facilities (up to 5 hospitals) to similar or lower acuity units, excluding the Emergency Department, as needed. The position requires commitment to working 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week cycle and at least one holiday during the holiday weekend.

Qualifications

• Certifications Required: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Experience Required: A minimum of 2 years in a charge role; previous charge experience preferred.
• Patient Ratio Experience: 4 patients per nurse.
• Charting System: Proficiency required in Epic.
• Hospital Experience: Community Hospital experience is required; LTAC experience is a plus.
• Travel Experience: Required, with a minimum of 2 years of concurrent experience in the specialty.
• Trauma Level Experience: Level I preferred, Level II experience is a plus.

Skills Required

• Aneurysm management and repair
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• Cardiac telemetry
• CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) management
• IV and peripheral line care/management
• Telemetry - remote monitoring
• Post-surgical care for various procedures, including cardiac, orthopedic, and general surgeries
• Wound care and management

Patient Care Details

• Patient Age Groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Daily Census: Varies across the system
• Interdisciplinary Support: Includes IV teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and others.
• Patient Diagnoses: Varies, including orthopedic, general, urological, and trauma cases.

Additional Information

• Orientation Hours: 36 hours
• Float Requirements: May be required to float in accordance with skill set and operational needs.
• Modules: Non-billable; assigned modules must be completed by the following Friday.
