This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical and control systems while supporting overall hatchery operations. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver who can work independently and effectively coordinate with team members, suppliers, and vendors.Key Responsibilities:Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical equipment and instrumentation systems.Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues to minimize downtime and maximize performance.Maintain hatchery equipment in a safe and efficient operating condition.Prioritize maintenance needs and respond to equipment failures in a timely manner.Monitor and maintain parts inventory in a cost-effective manner and within budget guidelines.Communicate equipment needs, maintenance concerns, and recommended solutions to supervisors.Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and outside vendors as needed.Provide guidance and support to Maintenance B and C employees.Assist with hatchery operations during emergencies or staffing shortages.Qualifications:Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and troubleshooting techniques.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and complete assignments efficiently.Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Welding experience and skills required.Ability to safely work from ladders and elevated surfaces.Ability to lift and move 50 to 100 pounds.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, PLCs, motor controls, and automation.Experience in agricultural, food production, manufacturing, or hatchery operations.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
