Labor & Delivery RN

Title: Labor & Delivery RN

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Epic charting experience required
• Valid state nursing license; compact license must be active at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
• Preferred: ACLS

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients in labor, preterm labor, and low-risk antepartum settings
• Circulate for C-sections and assist in OB-GYN surgeries
• Conduct triage of obstetrical patients and perform sterile vaginal exams
• Manage and administer medications such as blood products, magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and heparin
• Provide couplet care including transition nursery assistance
• Attend all deliveries, addressing both high-risk and low-risk situations

Compliance / Notes:

• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• All scheduling requests must be submitted upfront with submittal
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities; refusal may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
• References and background checks required; certain verification methods not accepted
