Compensation: $22.00-$27.00 per hour + $3.00 per hour shift differential

About the Role

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist for a direct-hire opportunity with an established manufacturing organization in Lewis Center, Ohio.

This second-shift position is ideal for a skilled machinist who is comfortable setting up CNC lathes, working from blueprints, editing programs, troubleshooting machining issues, and using precision inspection equipment to produce components to specification.

The position operates Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM and includes an additional $3.00 per hour second-shift differential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up CNC lathes and other machining equipment according to blueprint specifications, materials, and production requirements.
• Write and edit CNC programs as needed to support machining operations.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make appropriate adjustments to maintain production and quality requirements.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve required product specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing specifications.
• Inspect machined components using calipers, micrometers, profile projectors, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality.
• Work collaboratively with manufacturing team members while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in a machining environment.
• At least 1 year of hands-on CNC lathe experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience setting up CNC lathes.
• Ability to write or edit CNC programs and troubleshoot machining issues.
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Ability to work from blueprints and manufacturing specifications.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Mazak CNC equipment.
• Experience with Mazatrol controls.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to perform the physical duties associated with a hands-on machining and manufacturing environment.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $22.00 and $27.00 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position also includes a $3.00 per hour second-shift differential.
