Business Operations Manager

We are seeking a strategic, action-oriented communications professional to help drive employee engagement, executive communications, and organizational alignment across the Hybrid Cloud & Office of the CTO organization. This role blends communications strategy with hands‑on execution, partnering with leaders, Chiefs of Staff, HR teams, and employees to bring organizational priorities to life through impactful communications, employee engagement programs, leadership forums, and digital experiences. The ideal candidate is an exceptional storyteller, trusted partner, and program manager who can move seamlessly between strategy and execution while delivering measurable business impact. Location: Houston, TX or Andover, MA Core Responsibilities Drive strategic employee communications and engagement programs that improve organizational alignment, increase visibility into leadership priorities, and enhance the overall employee experience across HCOCTO and partner organizations. Partner with executives, Chiefs of Staff, HR business partners, and functional leaders to develop and execute communication strategies that support organizational priorities, transformation initiatives, and employee engagement goals. Develop executive‑ready communications, including organizational announcements, leadership messages, talking points, presentations, newsletters, intranet content, blogs, and digital communications. Lead the planning and execution of leadership forums, All Team Meetings (ATMs), Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions, virtual events, and employee engagement programs from concept through post‑event reporting and analysis. Manage the operational details of employee engagement events, including agenda development, speaker and guest coordination, presentation reviews, run‑of‑show planning, invitations, audience engagement, logistics, and executive reporting. Translate complex business and technical topics into compelling stories and clear employee communications that inform, educate, and inspire action. Own and manage editorial planning across key communication channels to ensure consistent messaging, alignment with leadership priorities, and effective audience engagement. Create and maintain communication assets, including SharePoint content, event replay hubs, FAQs, resource pages, and digital engagement materials supporting organizational initiatives. Measure communication effectiveness through attendance data, engagement analytics, surveys, sentiment, and feedback, and turn those insights into clear recommendations for leaders and communications partners. Collaborate across communications, web, marketing, HR, and business teams to maintain a consistent employee experience and unified narrative across channels. Leverage AI and modern communications tools to improve efficiency, scale content development, expand reach, and enhance employee engagement outcomes. Manage multiple concurrent projects, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines while maintaining strong quality, sound judgment, and calm execution. Qualifications 5-8 years of experience in internal communications, executive communications, employee engagement, corporate communications, change management, journalism, public relations, product marketing, or a related field. Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Exceptional writing, storytelling, editing, and presentation development skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and leadership voices. Experience partnering with senior leaders and managing communications programs involving multiple stakeholders and cross‑functional teams. Strong program and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to move initiatives from concept through execution, measurement, and continuous improvement. Experience planning and executing employee events, leadership forums, town halls, All Team Meetings, AMAs, or similar engagement programs. Ability to analyze engagement metrics and employee feedback and translate findings into insightful presentations, reports, and action plans. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Viva Engage, and collaborative digital communication platforms. Demonstrated ability to use AI tools thoughtfully to improve productivity, content quality, and communications impact. Experience working in a technology organization and translating technical concepts for broad employee audiences preferred. Ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization, including senior executives, and to incorporate feedback quickly and constructively. Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast‑moving environment that may occasionally require support outside standard working hours for major events or communications.
