Cardiovascular Key Account Manager - Richmond, VA

Amgen seeks a Cardiovascular Key Account Manager to develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned healthcare systems in the Richmond, Norfolk, and Roanoke areas. The role involves building relationships with clinical and administrative decision-makers, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving utilization of cardiovascular products while ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned with cardiovascular business strategy and institutional needs
- Serve as strategic lead for assigned key accounts, engaging priority providers and healthcare systems
- Build and maintain relationships with clinical opinion leaders, pharmacy directors, and finance decision-makers
- Coordinate cross-functional field teams to drive product utilization, access, and pull-through initiatives
- Monitor account performance, market dynamics, and provide field intelligence to corporate marketing and analytics teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 6 years of sales or account management experience (minimum)
- Master's degree and 4 years of relevant sales or account management experience (alternative)
- Doctorate degree and 2 years of sales or account management experience (alternative)
- 3+ years of account management and/or public payor experience strongly preferred
- Healthcare sales experience with knowledge of hospital operations, P&T committees, and reimbursement processes
- Cardiology expertise including dyslipidemia, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes preferred
- Understanding of CMS policies, Medicare processes, and payor systems
