Junior Controller

NYC-based wholesale multi-divisional footwear and accessories company seeking to hire a Junior Controller to support the CFO in various areas including internal reporting, managerial reporting, and financial planning and analysis. Candidate will provide a range of support services to the CFO in a proactive, detail-oriented and forward-thinking manner in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting responsibilities across several divisions and companies
• Inventory costing processes and margin analysis
• Quarterly royalty reporting for 20+ brands
• Assist in the budget and forecasting process
• Open to buy reporting
• Data-entry and expense management functions
• Light bookkeeping for a small entity
• Expense tracking
• Ad-hoc expense modeling
• Provide general administrative support for the CFO & the finance department
• Undertake special assignments/projects on a wide variety of issues as requested by the CFO pertaining to finance, operations, and marketing

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years in the wholesale import industry
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field required
• Must be extremely proficient in MS Excel
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with partners and all levels of the organization acting as an extension of the CFO
• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to achieve high performance goals in a complex and fast-paced environment
