About the Role
The Company is seeking an SVP, Capital Markets to spearhead the strategic and operational aspects of converting loan production into liquidity, gain-on-sale income, and balance-sheet flexibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the capital-markets portfolio, integrating various functions such as loan sales, pricing, hedging, and investor relationships into a cohesive discipline. This role requires a leader who can govern the loan-sale calendar, ensure operational readiness for sale execution, and develop and oversee the hedging strategy within approved risk parameters. The SVP will also be tasked with building and maintaining a diversified network of investors, brokers, and counterparties, and will play a key role in negotiating agreements that align with the company's risk and return parameters. Applicants for the SVP, Capital Markets position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 7 years' progressive leadership experience in capital markets, secondary marketing, or loan sales within a financial services environment. Advanced proficiency in whole-loan sales, participations, and capital-markets execution is essential, as is a strong background in interest-rate risk management and hedging strategies. The role demands a candidate with the ability to make material risk decisions in partnership with the CFO and to provide senior leadership for the function. The ideal candidate will be adept at translating complex financial concepts into clear recommendations, building durable external relationships, and delivering accurate reporting to various stakeholders. A Chartered Financial Analyst or Certified Treasury Professional certification, as well as an advanced degree in a related discipline, are preferred.
