About this Job Occupational Therapist (Outpatient Neuro) – Location: Therapy – McLean. MedStar Health seeks a competent occupational therapist for outpatient neuro services. The role involves evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re‑assessment, discharge planning, and documentation. The therapist collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, aids in program planning, and contributes to goal attainment. Primary Duties Provide evaluation services, including historical review, specific assessment performance, and recommendation documentation. Explain evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and families, incorporating them into goal setting. Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and patient presentation. Consult with other healthcare professionals as indicated. Document changes in patient condition and modify the plan of care or need for medical/rehabilitation consultation. Complete discharge planning and follow‑up care. Accurately document and charge patient care activities, including initial evaluation/plan, daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluation. Manage time and productivity expectations, maintain an accurate schedule, and provide frictionless patient access with empathy. Pursue continuing education for professional growth; serve as a clinical instructor, orient, and mentor staff, students, volunteers, and technicians. Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school. Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers CPR certification. Compensation Hiring range: USD $74,214.00 – USD $134,596.00 per year. #J-18808-Ljbffr
