Duties and Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of dental billing and insurance verification processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Track claims from submission to resolution, following up on unpaid claims and advocating for rightful reimbursements. Update and maintain patient insurance records and billing information in the Dentrix system accurately. Resolve billing and insurance queries from patients, providing clear and empathetic communication. Collaborate with dental care providers to verify services rendered for billing purposes and to ensure compliance with insurance protocols. Conduct regular audits on billing activities to guarantee adherence to standards and identify opportunities for improvement. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on the status of claims and other billing activities. Participate in training and development sessions to stay updated with the latest trends and changes in dental insurance policies. Ensure strict confidentiality of patient records and financial information in compliance with federal and state laws, and office policies. Implement effective billing protocols and procedures that enhance revenue cycle efficiency. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Insurance/Billing Coordinator. Strong working knowledge of Dentrix or Dentrix Ascend. Experience in dental claims management and insurance verification. Understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle management process. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and insurance companies. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to address billing and insurance discrepancies. Commitment to uphold the highest level of confidentiality and adhere to all data protection regulations.
