Position Details:

OB call coverage every 5th week of the month
No specific coverage dates currently available
24/7 hospital coverage
2 hours of gratis patient care included
Approximately 4 deliveries per day
Coverage includes Labor & Delivery, Emergency Department, surgical coverage, acute/urgent surgical needs, and emergent clinic consults
2 NPs available for support
EHR: Cerner
Reverse billing; provider must clock in/out using DocTime

Patient Population:

Low-risk pregnancy
OB/GYN patients
Approximately 4 deliveries per day

Setting:
Hospital-based OB/GYN
McLaren Central Michigan

Responsibilities:

Labor & Delivery coverage
Emergency Department coverage
Surgical coverage
Acute/urgent surgical care
Clinic consults for emergent cases to determine need for hospital admission

Required Procedures:

Vaginal deliveries
C-sections
Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
VBAC
OB Ultrasound
Amniocentesis

EMR System:
Cerner

Support Staff:
2 NPs

Days Per Month:
Every 5th week of the month

On-Call/Weekends:
24-hour on-call coverage; weekend coverage required

Submission Requirements:

Board Certified in OB/GYN
Active Michigan license
NPDB pulled within the last 30 days
