About This Role
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Lead Child Care Teacher to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. With your expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, and working with children, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and supports each child's unique growth journey. As the Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in leading by example, collaborating with dedicated staff, and positively impacting the lives of children and families.
What You'll DoResponsibilities
- Design and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of toddlers through preschool-aged children.
- Conduct inclusive classroom activities that support early intervention, special education needs, and behavior management strategies.
- Create lessons that assess and support individual student progress, promoting continuous growth and development.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment through effective classroom management skills.
- Establish strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and team members to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and welfare needs effectively.
- Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high standards of childcare quality and a positive classroom experience.
- Keep detailed records of lesson plans, child assessments, behavior reports, and other documentation necessary for compliance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Must have experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as licensed daycare or preschool environments.
- Must have high school diploma or GED.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Previous experience in a licensed child care environment is highly valued. We also encourage applicants with ongoing professional development and a passion for early childhood education.
