ADMINISTRATOR / LEAD TEACHER

Location: Petersburg, VA

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and visionary  Administrator/Lead Teacher to help launch an exciting new homeschool-based educational program with the long-term goal of growing into a private or charter school.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the culture, curriculum, and future of a school from its very beginning. We are looking for someone who loves children, values academic excellence, and is excited to build something meaningful.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the homeschool program.
• Teach students in assigned grade levels and subject areas.
• Assist with curriculum planning and implementation.
• Communicate regularly with parents and families.
• Help establish school policies, procedures, and a positive learning environment.
• Supervise staff and support teachers as the program grows.
• Maintain student records and ensure compliance with applicable Virginia homeschool and private school requirements.
• Collaborate with school leadership on future expansion into a private or charter school.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Virginia teaching license preferred but not required, depending on experience.
• Previous classroom teaching experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Passion for helping students grow academically and personally.
• Ability to work independently in a start-up educational environment.
