Community Engagement Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Community Engagement Coordinator to join our small but dynamic non-profit, the Early Childhood Service Corps (ECSC)

Constituent engagement is a vital component of ECSC’s makeup. Consistently receiving feedback from both Corps Members and Partner Sites gives ECSC the ability to grow and evolve, ensuring engagement focused on their needs. The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for implementing programs and initiatives to enhance ECSC community well-being by fostering relationships with ECSC Partner Sites & Corps Members.The work is remote (no office location), and will require some travel in the Denver Metro area to Partner Sites and events.

The position is paid an hourly rate, and a travel stipend is allocated.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Partnership Management:

• Build and maintain relationships with ECSC stakeholders: ECSC Partner Sites and ECSC Corps Members through regular correspondence, check-ins and surveys
• Source new ECSC Sites and conduct new and follow-up site visits in coordination with the Program Specialist. Conduct orientation sessions for new partner site directors
• Develop, implement, and facilitate Partner Site training and provide ongoing support for engagement with the ECE community at large. Including:
• Facilitate Bi-Weekly Site Information Sessions
• Attend industry events to represent ECSC as needed
• Create Programming with Program Specialist for Site Director Professional Development
• Provide Technical Support to Corps Members on PDIS

Program Implementation:

• Create and execute programs and strategic plans that address ECSC stakeholders' community needs and achieve positive results following the mission and vision of the organization
• Support on-site Preschool Director/ECSC Liaison with implementation, training, and maintenance of ECSC Encore Substitutes and Volunteers
• Place ECSC Corp Members with participating Partner Sites based on geographic location and site requirements.

Community Engagement:

• Organize events and outreach initiatives to connect with community members and foster a sense of belonging.
• Assist Marketing Director in selecting Partner Sites for interviews and storytelling
• Support resolution of personnel issues/concerns with or from ECSC Corps Members if they arise, with support from ECSC Program Specialist
• Follow-up with all Site/Members placements on a regular basis
• Partner with Site Directors to determine individual program needs based on evidence or data with regard to workforce development, volunteer utilization, and ECSC membership perks
• Exhibit and maintain open lines of communication with all ECSC Administration & Staff, Partner Site Directors and matched Corps Members

Impact Measurement:

• Track and analyze program outcomes to measure effectiveness and make recommendations for future staff and program investments
• Ensure programs align with the overarching goals and grant metrics of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience or education in ECE (Early Childhood Education)
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work independently and within a team environment
• Excellent communication and written skills
• Knowledge of CDEC licensing rules and regulations. (required)
• Strong ability to multitask and a self-starter
• Must be ok with a flexible schedule and successful time management skills
• Comfortable with traveling to sites throughout the state of Colorado
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of corps members and sites
• Ability to maintain accurate records in the CRM system used by ECSC (NEON)

Preferred:

• Early Childhood or Volunteer Organization Experience
• Previous work experience in a non-profit organization
• Demonstrated experience with diverse learners and collaborative problem solving with positive results

REQUIREMENTS

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Ability to remain in a stationary position (seated or standing) for up to 50% of the workday.
• Ability to frequently move about office spaces and community event sites.
• Ability to transport event materials weighing up to 20 lbs across short distances.
• Constant operation of a computer and other office productivity equipment.
• Frequent travel within the local community and extended travel to rural or mountain communities.

Transportation: Must have a reliable, registered, and insured personal vehicle to travel to different work sites
