Community Engagement Coordinator

The Community Engagement Coordinator serves as an ambassador for Judi's House by increasing awareness of programs and services, developing community partnerships, and delivering grief education throughout the community. This role facilitates educational workshops, represents Judi's House at outreach events, strengthens relationships with community organizations, and supports initiatives that advance the organization's mission. The ideal candidate is an engaging presenter, skilled relationship builder, and organized project coordinator with a passion for serving bereaved children, families, and communities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Education and Outreach

· Facilitate and deliver engaging educational workshops and presentations for children and adults both in person and virtually using a variety of technology platforms.

· Conduct outreach through community events, resource fairs, and other engagement opportunities.

· Coordinate scheduling, invitations, tours, and related logistics for outreach and education activities.

· Promote and professionally represent Judi's House programs, services, and educational initiatives in community settings.

Community Partnership Development

· Identify, develop, and sustain partnerships with organizations aligned with Judi's House's mission and strategic community engagement plan.

· Steward partner relationships and maintain ongoing communications to maximize capacity for long-term collaboration across Judi's House teams (e.g., sponsorships, in-kind support, advocacy efforts).

· Generate opportunities to increase Judi's House's community presence by meeting established monthly engagement benchmarks, including calls, meetings, business visits, and networking activities.

Program Evaluation and Administrative Support

· Collect and track output data/key indicators to support reporting and continuous improvement efforts.

· Administer participant evaluations and interviews to assess effectiveness and community impact of outreach and education efforts.

· Monitor participant feedback and report outcomes, emerging opportunities, and community needs to organizational leadership.

· Maintain accurate records, outreach materials, contact lists, and tracking systems.

· Partner with internal teams, including Communications, Development, Evaluation, and Training, to support outreach and promotional efforts.

Organizational Support

· Model and promote Judi's House values throughout all work.

· Collaborate across teams to advance the mission and vision of the organization.

· Attend organizational meetings, events, and activities as required.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in communications, human services, education, or related field.

· Experience in community outreach, public speaking, facilitation, educational programming, or related areas.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

· Knowledge of community engagement strategies, community resources, and social service programming.

· Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

· Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.

· Proficiency with technology platforms and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

· Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

· Passion for serving bereaved children, families, and communities.

Work and Physical Requirements

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.

· Must possess a valid driver license and at least state required minimum of automobile insurance, clear DMV driving record and ability to provide own transportation.

Work Environment/Schedule

Working in the office, employees can expect to stay closely connected to the mission, work in a bright facility where Judi's House hosts many of its programs, and interface with a supportive and collaborative team of colleagues. Evening and weekend hours are required with flexibility to maintain realistic balance.

Although some remote work is possible, this position is primarily onsite and in the community.
