One of our clients in the Humboldt Park area is seeking an experienced Mental Health Specialist. Responsibilities Complete Mental Health Evaluations when assigned. Carry a caseload; provide direct services to clients via individual and group counseling. Deliver treatment overseen and delivered according to individual treatment plans and current policies and procedures. Ensure case files are up to date and maintained in accordance with agency and DASA standards. Network with current and prospective referral sources and other community agencies to meet client needs. Participate in staff meetings and clinic staffing. Present client issues and take notes in the Review Board on assigned days. Maintain an active interest and involvement in the field of mental health and substance use disorders. Perform record‑keeping functions, prepare statistical and other required reports. Work flexible hours Monday‑Friday 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with early and late adaptations as needed. Qualifications Graduate Master’s Degree from an accredited university. LCSW or LCPC license required. At least two years of experience with a clinical license in the addiction and/or mental health field. Experience conducting mental health evaluations, familiarity with DSM‑5. Experience working with clients with a psychiatric or dual diagnosis, assessing risk of harm, crisis intervention, charting. Knowledge of community resources and experience working with an interdisciplinary team, including a psychiatrist, preferred.
