WIP + Job Costing Exposure | Service & Construction Environment | Leadership Visibility Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 per year A bit about us A growing service-based construction and mechanical services organization is seeking a hands‑on Controller to oversee accounting and financial operations for a large multi‑entity business generating approximately $70M in annual revenue. This is a highly visible role supporting leadership, operations, and service teams across a fast‑paced environment with a strong mix of construction, maintenance, and service revenue. The position offers broad exposure across operational accounting, job costing, WIP reporting, profitability analysis, and process improvement initiatives. Why join us Highly visible role partnering directly with leadership and operations teams Broad exposure across construction, service, and maintenance operations Opportunity to help strengthen processes, reporting, and operational efficiencies Stable business with strong revenue growth and long‑term expansion focus Mix of strategic involvement and hands‑on operational accounting leadership Responsibilities Oversee all accounting and financial reporting operations Manage month‑end close, financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting packages Own WIP reporting, percentage‑of‑completion accounting, and revenue recognition Support profitability analysis by service line, labor costing, and technician productivity reporting Lead job costing initiatives and strengthen operational reporting processes Oversee sales tax compliance, audits, and internal controls Partner closely with operations leadership on forecasting, margins, and business performance Mentor and manage accounting staff while helping improve overall finance processes Qualifications 5+ years of Controller, Assistant Controller, or Construction Accounting leadership experience Strong background within construction, HVAC, mechanical services, field services, or related industries Experience with WIP schedules, percentage‑of‑completion accounting, and job costing required Strong operational accounting and profitability analysis experience ERP/accounting systems experience required CPA preferred but not required Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
