Travel NICU Nurse (RN) | Thomasville, North Carolina

You'll work within a large academic medical setting, gaining invaluable exposure to advanced neonatal care and a variety of medical practices. Expand your resume as you collaborate with experienced clinical leaders and immerse yourself in a Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital environment.


Schedule / Hours:

• Night shifts: 7 pm-7 am
• Rotating weekends (every other)
• No on-call expectation
• Holiday requirements: 75% (proportionally scheduled)
• Six-week scheduling cycles

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert care for critically ill neonates from 23 weeks to term, including those with complex surgical needs (NEC, CDH, etc.)
• Perform and manage basic ventilator care, central lines, tracheostomies, G-tubes, gavage feeding, and blood transfusions
• Deliver pre- and post-surgical management
• Support both breastfeeding and bottle feeding
• Complete accurate, timely documentation with EPIC EMR
• Float to other pediatric units such as General Pedi, PICU, Adolescent Pediatrics, and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology as needed

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience required
• BLS and NRP certifications
• Strong infant venous access skills
• Comfort with ventilator, trach, and feeding tube management
