Client Overview: Confidential, well-established law firm seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join its Class Action practice. Salary/Hourly Rate: $22/hr - $28/hr Position Overview: The Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys within the Class Action department. The ideal candidate will have prior law firm experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters, documents, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities of the Legal Assistant: Provide day-to-day administrative and legal support to attorneys. Prepare, format, proofread, and organize legal documents and correspondence. Manage case files, calendars, deadlines, and attorney schedules. Assist with case preparation, discovery, filings, and document management. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties as needed. Assist with additional projects and administrative tasks within the department. Required Experience/Skills for the Legal Assistant: Prior legal assistant or legal administrative experience required. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal software. Preferred Experience/Skills for the Legal Assistant: Personal Injury experience strongly preferred. Class Action or litigation experience is a plus. Experience with discovery, document review, and court filings preferred. Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education or legal training preferred.
