Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an experienced Chief System Engineer (CSE) to support the GeoXO program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the systems engineering effort on this multi-year development program, working in close collaboration with the Program Manager, Chief Engineer, Space Vehicle and Payload IPT Leads, as well as the NASA customer. The CSE will be responsible for technical direction, planning, staffing, interfacing with LM senior management, customers, subcontractors, partners and suppliers, and integration and coordination with all functional organizations involved in system design, integration, assembly, test and delivery. This is a high-visibility position that offers an opportunity to quickly make a significant impact on the future of LM Space. The position requires a high level of technical and business acumen to balance priorities, drive issue prevention/resolution, and clearly communicate status and needs to our customers/partners, and with both Lockheed Martin and supplier executives.Standard Job DescriptionPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
