Automation Lead

Duration: 12 months Job Summary The Intelligent Automation Governance Lead – SAP S/4HANA will lead the assessment, governance, redesign, and remediation of Finance automation solutions as the organization transitions from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA . This person will ensure existing production automations continue to operate with minimal business disruption throughout the S/4HANA migration. The role requires a strong combination of UiPath RPA expertise, SAP S/4HANA migration knowledge, intelligent/agentic AI capabilities, and enterprise automation governance . The ideal candidate will have experience managing large-scale automation portfolios and understanding how changes to SAP T-Codes, BAPIs, Fiori applications, interfaces, APIs, and data models impact existing automations. Key Responsibilities Lead automation continuity efforts throughout the SAP S/4HANA migration. Assess the Finance automation portfolio and determine whether each automation should be retained, redesigned, retired, or replaced . Identify and remediate high-impact automations based on business criticality and migration risk. Partner with SAP S/4HANA project teams, SAP IT teams, and Finance AI & Automation teams to maintain the automation redesign and re-delivery roadmap. Ensure automation remediation activities remain aligned with the overall S/4HANA implementation and migration timeline. Develop and maintain a reference architecture for S/4HANA-compatible automations, including reusable patterns, standards, and design guidelines. Establish and enforce release governance and change-control processes for production automation releases. Maintain automation portfolio trackers, readiness dashboards, remediation status, and risk reporting. Perform impact analysis for changes involving SAP T-Codes, BAPIs, Fiori apps, interfaces, integrations, and data models . Define release management, versioning, environment governance, and change-control standards across Dev, Test, and Production . Coordinate automation remediation activities through S/4HANA design, cutover, and hypercare phases. Advise Finance leadership on automation continuity risks, governance, and S/4HANA readiness. Lead governance boards, design reviews, and readiness checkpoints with cross-functional stakeholders. Required Qualifications7+ years of experience in Intelligent Automation, RPA delivery, platform governance, or enterprise automation lifecycle management. 5+ years of hands-on UiPath experience , including architecture and governance. Proven experience assessing and remediating large automation portfolios during major ERP or technology migrations. Hands-on experience with an SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of how ECC-to-S/4HANA changes impact automation, including: T-Codes BAPIs Fiori applications Tables and data models Interfaces Integrations Strong understanding of Finance processes, including: Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Order-to-Cash (O2C) Shared Services Experience creating and managing release governance and change-control frameworks. Previous experience as a Solution Architect, Automation Lead, Senior Engineer, or Principal Engineer in an enterprise-scale automation environment. Experience working with distributed development teams and global stakeholders across multiple time zones. Must-Have Technical Skills UiPath / Intelligent Automation Strong hands-on experience with: UiPath Studio UiPath Orchestrator Strong experience with UiPath Agentic AI capabilities, including: Action Center Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) UiPath AI Center Integration Services UiPath Conversational Agents Ability to design and review UiPath libraries, reusable components, and enterprise automation frameworks. SAP S/4HANA & Integration Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA and automation continuity. Experience with SAP Joule and SAP Business AI and their relationship with UiPath agentic automation. Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori and understanding of how Fiori changes affect automation. Strong knowledge of: BAPIs RFC-enabled Function Modules IDocs OData REST APIs Familiarity with SAP: T-Codes SAP GUI transactions Backend tables Ability to identify and map ECC processes and automation dependencies to their S/4HANA equivalents. Automation Governance & Cloud Experience with: Release management Version control Dev/Test/Prod environment governance Automation monitoring Production support governance Experience with automation agent lifecycle management across Dev, Test, and Production environments. Experience with cross-tenant automation migration and governance. APIs, Data & Integrations Strong experience with API-based integrations. Experience working with: SharePoint Lists Microsoft Graph APIs MySQL SQL Server MongoDB Structured and unstructured data sources Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with UiPath Apps . Experience with UiPath Data Fabric . Knowledge of Healing Agents . Experience with Screenplay . Experience with UiPath Autopilot . Exposure to UiPath Bring-Your-Own-Model (BYOM) . Experience with SAP Joule and SAP Business AI. Additional experience with RPA portfolio migrations and automation redesign during S/4HANA programs. Ability to work with technical teams and Finance business users. Experience leading governance boards, design reviews, and readiness checkpoints. Ability to communicate automation migration risks and business impacts to executive stakeholders. Strong ownership of end-to-end automation continuity.
