Outside Sales Representative - Building Materials & Construction Products

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow a defined territory within the Atlanta metro area. This role focuses on developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and supporting customers across commercial and residential construction projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a field‑based environment, excels at relationship building, and is comfortable interpreting architectural drawings to prepare accurate quotes.

No Visa Sponsorship

Location: Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas

Work Schedule: Field‑based, Monday–Friday

Compensation: Competitive base salary + commission + full benefits

Responsibilities:

Field Travel — Visit customers 4–5 days per week using a personal vehicle.
Territory Prospecting — Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities.
Quote Preparation — Review architectural drawings and project specifications to generate accurate quotes.
Order Coordination — Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Account Management — Maintain and grow relationships with contractors, builders, architects, and project stakeholders.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

All education levels will be considered.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.
Self‑motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently.
Experience selling architectural glass, metal products, or specialty building materials strongly preferred.
3+ years of outside sales experience in building materials, construction products, architectural components, or related fields.

Preferred Skills:

Demonstrated success in a hunter‑style sales role.
Existing relationships with contractors, architects, builders, or developers in the Atlanta market.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (not required)
