About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Leadership Team. The CFO will be a strategic and experienced executive, responsible for providing overall fiscal stewardship, strategic direction, and rigorous financial control. Key responsibilities include leading financial planning, multi-year forecasting, and annual operating budgets, as well as advising the CEO and Board on financial matters. The successful candidate will also oversee grant and revenue administration, direct accounting operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and manage treasury activities. A strong focus on team leadership and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning is essential. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' financial management experience, with a preference for those who have held senior leadership roles in large nonprofit organizations or public agencies. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a Master's degree or CPA/CMA designation preferred. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to the mission of the organization, experience in nonprofit fund accounting, and a strong background in financial analysis, risk management, and internal controls. The role demands a professional with excellent communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a proven track record of adaptability and calm under pressure.
