Facilities Maintenance Supervisor - VCU Health MCV Downtown Campus - 1st Shift Salary: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 Other Forms of Compensation: $1,000.00 Yearly Supervisor Bonus The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), carpentry, painting, and other building systems. This is a first shift 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday schedule. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the maintenance department. Perform or supervise work necessary to inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and special systems. Organize and oversee the schedules and work of maintenance staff. Assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules. Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner. Train maintenance department staff. Handle discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed. Excellent management and supervisory skills. Proficient with computers, email, and Microsoft Office or similar software. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. At least five years of maintenance experience required, including supervisory experience. Physical Requirements Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance, be physically able to perform repairs when needed, sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods, and lift 25 pounds at a time.
